The identity system for SFMOMA's 2008 Art Auction was heavily inspired by the experience of viewing art in a museum. The design placed the auction information directly on the "wall", next to the pieces for sale. While unobtrusive, this allowed for easy browsing and helped the viewer to scan by lot number and name. Along with a color coded tab system, it sped and enhancing the bidding process.
